Matthew 25 Mission

St. Luke’s Church collaborates with Asbury United Methodist Church in an ecumenical food distribution program for the community. Volunteers from several churches are involved in the labor intensive process of packing and distributing food to qualifying families twice a month. St. Luke's members take the lead on distribution on the third Thursday of the month from 4-5:30 p.m.

Laundry Love

Laundry Love is a ministry of St. Luke's that reflects Christ's love through simple acts of compassion and hospitality. By providing free laundry services once a month in a welcoming, judgment-free environment, we seek to meet a practical need while building meaningful relationships, restoring dignity, and sharing God's love with our neighbors. Our mission is to create a place where every person feels seen, valued, and cared for—one load of laundry at a time.

Blessing of the Animals

St. Luke's welcomes the community to our annual Blessing of the Animals, a joyful, family-friendly tradition celebrating the special bond between people and their pets. This event also supports our local animal shelter, P.A.W.S., through donations of needed supplies and monetary gifts.

Pets of all kinds are welcome to receive a special blessing and a St. Francis medallion for their collar. Over the years, we've welcomed everything from dogs and cats to snakes and even horses. Whether your companion has paws, hooves or scales, we invite you to join us for this meaningful celebration of God's love for all creation.

Emergency Food Pantry

St. Luke’s Church office provides an
emergency food pantry that is open to the public. The pantry is stocked mainly through donations from church members. Each family’s box of groceries consists of at least three full
dinners, snack options, and items for
breakfast, and is personalized based on each family or individual’s needs.

Adopt-A-Family

Each Christmas season, St. Luke's adopts families served through Ada Homeless Services and helps fulfill their Christmas wish lists. Through the generosity of our congregation, we share the joy and hope of the season by providing gifts and essential items that remind families they are loved, supported and not forgotten.

Tabitha's Orphanage - Haiti

Following the hurricane that devastated Haiti, several parishioners went there to render such assistance as they could. While there, they found an orphanage located in Cap-Haitien which was in need of assistance. On

their return, a special collection was made for the orphanage’s benefit, and since then the Easter Offering has often been designated for Tabitha’s Orphanage. These funds are used to
supply the orphanage with basic necessities as well as school uniforms and supplies. Tabitha’s Orphanage provides full care for children to attend school, church, and to live on campus.
